Demonstration site. Woodside Hair Style Salon, Co. is a fictional business invented for this demo — every phone number on it is literally 000-000-0000. The website itself is entirely real and built exactly as yours would be.

Why this design works for a hair salon

Built for how your customers actually decide

Salon websites usually fail in one of two ways: they look like a template, or they send every booking to a third-party app that charges commission and owns the client. This design fixes both. It looks editorial — big imagery, a lookbook, generous type — and the booking runs on your own hosting.

The scheduling is per-stylist, which is what salons actually need. Each stylist sets their own working days, lunch break and self-booked slots; clients pick the stylist they want by name or by specialty (kids, colour, bridal, fashion) and get only that stylist's free 30-minute slots.

It also does the thing that quietly pays for a salon website: rebooking reminders. A client who opts in gets an email at the cadence the stylist sets — 7, 15, 20 or 30 days — nudging them to come back.

  • Specialty-aware booking

A parent booking a child's cut is shown the stylist who does kids' hair. A bride is shown the bridal specialist. The filter is on the stylist record, so it stays right as your team changes.

  • Rebooking is the revenue

Cuts are on a cycle. The reminder engine turns that cycle into bookings automatically, at the interval each stylist chooses for their own clients.

  • Built to carry your photographs

The lookbook and service pages are designed around large images. Swap in your own work and the site improves — most templates get worse when you replace the stock photography.

The hair salon demo website on a phone screen

Mobile first, not mobile afterthought

Most of your visitors will see this version

Local service searches are overwhelmingly done on phones, so the phone layout is the one we design first and test hardest. Text stays readable without zooming, the phone number stays reachable with a thumb, and nothing needs a horizontal scroll.

Every page, listed

What is actually on the site

15 indexable pages, each with its own title, description, structured data and a place in the sitemap. That is 15 chances to appear in a search instead of one.

Marketing pages

  • Home — hero video, services, stylists, lookbook teaser
  • Services hub plus eight service pages: women's cuts, men's cuts, kids' haircuts, colour & balayage, extensions & treatments, bridal & wedding hair, fashion styling
  • Lookbook — a full-width gallery for your own work
  • Stylists — four profiles with specialty and working days
  • About, Contact and Privacy

Booking application

  • Appointments — pick stylist, then service, then a free slot
  • Client confirm / cancel page from a signed email link
  • Stylist and manager admin at /admin.php

Included — not an add-on

Stylist booking system

PHP and MySQL on your own hosting. No commission per booking, no client list held by somebody else.

What your customers do

  • Choose a stylist by name or by specialty — kids, colour, bridal, fashion
  • See only that stylist's genuinely free 30-minute slots
  • Past hours on the current day disappear automatically
  • Book with name, phone and email in one screen
  • Opt in to rebooking reminders and promotions

What your staff control

  • Each stylist sets their own working days, hours and lunch break
  • Enter phone bookings so the online calendar stays truthful
  • Block out personal time without touching anyone else's book
  • Stylists see only their own clients; the manager sees everyone
  • Set your own rebooking cadence — 7, 15, 20 or 30 days

What happens automatically

  • Confirmation email on booking
  • Reminder email the day before, by cron
  • Rebooking nudge at the stylist's chosen interval, to clients who opted in
  • Clients cannot cancel an appointment that has already happened

The software runs on your own hosting and belongs to you. There is no monthly licence, no per-booking commission and no third party holding your customer list — which over a few years is usually worth more than the price of the website.

What $890 covers

Yours, not a copy of the demo

You get the same structure and design system with your business in it — your name, logo, colours, photographs, services, prices and locations, and every page rewritten for you. Two businesses starting from this design do not end up looking like each other.

Pages you do not need come out. Pages you need that are not there can be added at $90 each. The local SEO — titles, descriptions, structured data and the copy itself — is retargeted from Woodside to wherever you actually work.

Who this suits

A good fit if you run one of these

  • Hair salons and barbershops
  • Colour and balayage specialists
  • Bridal and event hair stylists
  • Brow, lash and beauty studios needing per-staff booking

Not quite your trade? Designs adapt more easily than people expect — the structure matters far more than the industry it was written for. Tell us what you do and we will say honestly whether this one fits.

Questions

About this design

Can each stylist have completely different hours?

Yes — that is the core of the system. Every stylist has an independent working week, lunch break and time off, and the public calendar is built from their individual schedule.

Can I take deposits at booking?

Not in the ready-made version. Online payment is a separate integration and is quoted per project — tell us your payment provider in the brief. Most salons launch without it and add it later if no-shows become a problem.

What if a client books and does not turn up?

The appointment stays on the calendar marked unconfirmed rather than disappearing, so you can see the pattern. The day-before reminder email reduces no-shows on its own; clients can cancel from that email, which frees the slot for someone else.

Does this work for a barbershop or a brow studio?

Yes. Anything booked as fixed-length appointments against named staff fits the same engine — the service names and imagery change, the scheduling does not. If your appointment length depends on what the client picked, or a service needs a chair or a room as well as a person, look at the nail salon design instead: that engine computes the length and holds two resources.
